Direct solidarity with refugees on the Polish-Belarusian border

For over the past Month, an increasing number of refugees fleeing Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and many other conflict zones or places where they are being pursued, are trying to cross the Polish-Belarusian border.

As a result of NGOs and independent activists trying to support legal and illegalized refugees, Poland imposed a state of emergency on the border to Belarus. Measures taken by the army, police, and border patrol during this state of emergency, have made any humanitarian aid impossible. As a result people are suffering from extreme hypothermia and hunger in the forests (near the border) and are in need of immediate medical assistance.

Both Polish and Belarusian border guards carry out illegal push backs – bringing people they have caught back to the border and forcing them to cross it. To date, 5 people have already lost their lives, or perhaps it is better to write – they were left to die…

Lukaschenke, on Putin´s leash, uses people as ammunition for his political blackmail and further destabilization of the situation in Europe. While Poland, under a right wing reign, looks the other way, the EU is funding the inhumane practice at the border.        Despite state repressions, there are still NGOs and activists near the border trying to provide first aid to the people affected. The situation is critical, and as the weather worsens, more and more victims are expected- so let´s not fool ourselves into believing that politics will change something – LET´S ACT!

We are collecting essential things and will bring them to the border sometime soon: charged power-banks, empty unlocked phones, warm sleeping bags, NEW winter socks / scarves / hats / gloves, winter clothing, ibuprofen, vitamins, anti-diarrhea medication, heat lamps, high calorie foods with long expiration dates, camping stoves with gas cartridges, water filters, emergency blankets, small tents…

Please donate only full functioning items!

Monetary donations are also accepted – we will use these for travel expenses, the rest will go directly to the NGOs on site.

  2. Hey hey,
I would love to donate some winter clothes but just realized the donation time has stoped end of October. Any chance to still donate them anywhere?
