The tribu.x is moving

We are back. To be honest, these times are confusing, confounding, and making us doubt. We have been re-thinking about the collective, our actions and conflicts. This internal process has left us paralyzed and without much energy. Until now.

We have not known how to deal with some internal differences during the last time, as well as we have had a hard time deciding which path we should choose. We have asked ourselves if our project is still valid and if we should continue or stop. Did we fail in managing internal conflicts? How did the local political climate affect us?, among many other questions. The answers have not been easy, nor is it clear whether we have chosen the right ones. Only time will tell.

What is important now is that in this process we have also learned and will continue. We are no longer paralyzed. We continue from the conviction that a project like tribu.x is still necessary and useful. There will be changes for sure, which we will announce as we make some decisions. Our collective has never been orthodox and we will experiment to advance our goals.

Roughly speaking, you can trust that our collective is still standing .With new energy we will continue to fight for the construction of a society in which, as the Zapatistas say, many worlds are possible, and anarchism is an alternative that shows a world on the road to freedom and equality.

Moving on to the practical. In the upcoming months, we will not be holding monthly assemblies as we have done in the past. However, you should know that our collective is still open to all those who are interested. If you want to come along, just come to our activities or to our office, or send us an email.

From now on we will be organising ourselves as a collective according to a main line of work, which at the moment corresponds to what we have called the “Right to the City. We call it Home”. We want to address the issue of gentrification in our neighbourhoods, how it affects us and how we can fight it. This does not mean that we will not address other issues, but this is where we will focus our efforts as a collective. We also want to strengthen our Info-shop Tante Emma as a meeting and discussion point, as well as our networks of mutual support with comrades we meet in struggle.
